Beetroot, also known as Beta Vulgaris, is a vegetable characterized, among many other things, by its powerful pink color. Although at first glance we don't see any resemblance, it is part of the family of the Chenopodiaceae such as chard or spinach.

It is believed that its cultivation began in the mid-2nd century BC, so our ancestors already enjoyed its benefits. Today, its main producers are Italy and France.
